From the Associated Press, via NBCSports.com:

Matt Kemp set a franchise record for home runs through 15 games with his ninth of the season to back up a solid outing by Clayton Kershaw and the Los Angeles Dodgers got a 5-1 win over the Houston Astros on Saturday night.

The Dodgers have been around (in various incarnations) since 1884, so the feat is no fluke.

Kemp is off to a roaring start this season, batting .474/.523/.1.018 with nine home runs, 22 RBI and one stolen base through his first 65 plate appearances. He’s by far the early favorite for the 2012 NL MVP award.
