On this the 16th of the month I would like send a shout out to the best athlete to wear number 16.  It’s pretty obvious as to who it will be.  Theobvious choice in my opinion is Joe Montana. Montanta was an 8 time Pro Bowler, 2 Time AP MVP, a memeber of the All-Decade Team for the ’80’s as well as the All 75th Anniversary Team.  The only 3 time Super Bowl MVP is a no brainer and was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2000.

Watch the link below and see how smoothly Montana engineered the Super Bowl winning drive against the Bengals in Super Bowl XXXIII.

Others to wear #16:

Dwight Gooden – 3 time World Aeries winner, ’84 NL Rookie of the Year, ’85 NL Cy Young Winner

Whitey Ford – 10 time All Star, ^ time World Series Champ, ’61 World Series MVP, ’61 AL Cy Young Winner, Baseball Hall of Famer (Inducted in 1974)

Len Dawson – Super Bowl IV MVP

Bo Jackson – KC Royals – ’89 All Star Game MVP

Peyton Manning – Tennessee Vols – Holds School record in TD Passes (89), Yards (11,201) and won 39 of 45 Games He Started

Brett Hull – Led the NHL in goals scored in 1989–90, 1990–91, and 1991–92, 741 Career Goals, 2 Time Stanley Cup Winner, Member of Hockey Hall of Fame (Inducted in 2009)

Pau Gasol – 2 time NBA Champion
